EIS
Ultima II Multi-Function
Scanner, Copier and Print Solution

Mesa, CA – November 9, 2005 – Paradigm Imaging Group, a leading
supplier of large-format scanning, printing and document archiving
solutions, has introduced its newest addition to the EIS (Express
Imaging Station) family of large-format multi-function systems, the
EIS Ultima II Series.
The
EIS Ultima II is a single-footprint large format color
multi-function, scan, copy and print system designed for a broad
range of applications including Facility Management, CAD, GIS and
Reprographics. The new EIS Ultima II series includes a choice of
four different 42” color scanner models, a high-performance Rocket™
scan/print controller, touch-panel LCD monitor and a new 44” wide
print engine.
What
distinguishes the new EIS Ultima II from the previous EIS Ultima is
the newly
integrated Canon imagePROGRAF W8400 printer which extends printer
functionality and increases the print width from 36” to 44”. The
Canon W8400 printer utilizes a pigment based, six-plus-one ink
system (interchangeable matte black ink), a 4-picoliter ink droplet
size, and 2400 x 1200 resolution which produces exceptional quality
output quickly and easily.
The
integrated high-performance Rocket™ controller houses a 2.8 GHz
Pentium®
4 processor with 1GB DDR and 80 GB hard drive, and is custom
designed for delivering the resources required to seamlessly process
large graphic files and other documents. The Scanning Arts
controller software provides an easy-to-use interface with large
control buttons on its main control screen that provide the feel and
functionality similar to that of an office copier.
The
EIS Ultima II, as an all-in-one configuration, provides a complete
solution for scanning, copying, printing and emailing of
large-format documents and graphics, while the EIS Flex
offers the flexibility of integrating with an existing printer (HP®
DesignJet® 500, 800 and others). Both Ultima
II and Flex systems
feature space-saving single footprint architecture, which
ergonomically organizes all system components, and offer a
user-friendly, intuitive operation via touch panel control. The EIS Solo
provides the same functionality as the Ultima
II and Flex
systems in a standalone format, with the system controller provided
in a desktop configuration, and the ability to use existing network
printers for output. The EIS system’s US list price ranges from
$16,995 to $29,995, depending on the system configurations. All EIS
systems are covered by 1 to 3-year limited warranty (depending on
the configurations and components) and full 3-year on-site warranty
is optionally available.
