high quality grayscale and crisp, clear black-and-white.
An image depends on its many graytones to bring out
details and give it depth. On the SELECT, graytones
are captured at 12 bits for maximum precision, passing
the best 8 bits of graytone data to the computer. The SELECT
supports calibration of black-and-white points
for reduction of noise in the dynamic range and clean
scans every time.
