Insert the document with
the surface to be scanned face downward into the scanner until
the top edge of the document contacts the feed rollers.
Activate the video by moving the cursor
over the video clip to the right.
Loading a Thin document
Ensure that the thin document support wires is
installed. See Assembly.
Move the document guides to the left and right until
they are adjusted to the document width
Place the document between the document guides and
the insert the document into the gap between the top
cover and the document scanning table. Make sure that it
is straight.
When the preset delay time specified in the driver
software has elapsed the rollers start turning to
automatically feed the document to the position to start
scanning. The document is now loaded.
After the document has been loaded move the document
guide s back to the position where the "document edge"
dotted line can be seen.
Loading a thick document
Ensure that the thick document support unit is
installed. See Assembly.
Press the [ITA] button on the operator panel to
change to ITA mode (the ITA LED lights up)
When a document is placed on the paper sensor as
shown below and inserted into the recess the top cover
start to rise automatically after approximately 2
seconds.
If it does not rise automatically press the [FORWARD]
button.
When the top cover has risen to the upper limit
position, insert the document further so that it can be
seen from the rear of the scanner.
Lowering will start after approximately 5 seconds after
the document is detected by the front and rear paper
sensors.
When the document is inserted into position the top
cover automatically descends to detect the thickness. If
it does not automatically descend press the [REVERSE]
button.

Reloading a Document
If you want
to reload the document, press the [REVERSE] key to eject the
document in the front. Reload the ejected document.
When the document has been loaded, the [PAPER] LED lights
up.
